Greetings Lovely Fifth Class,
I hope you are all keeping well and not missing your cranky teacher too much. I can’t wait for us to be back in the classroom to continue the great things we’ve been doing this year and for me to escape from Charlie and Seán for a bit of peace and quiet. The last few weeks have been very strange and at times stressful for families so I hope you are playing your part to help your parents and family when needed.
You may have completed the work we planned in school before we finished and if you have, well done and if you haven’t got around to it, don’t worry. I will send on all the answers to the maths and Wordwise over the days so you will be able to correct your work and see your progress.
The following are a few subjects and activities that you could try and complete as you pass the time at home. All that is expected of you is to try your best. Don’t worry if you do not get everything finished this week, you can continue it next week.
Keep safe, keep busy and I’ll see you very soon
Ms. MonaghanNote to Parents:
Greetings Parents,
I hope you are all keeping well and managing to get through the madness that is facing us these last few weeks. The following timetable is just a suggestion of work that your child could complete as they spend time at home. Some of the reading in English may be difficult for some pupils but they will be able to succeed in all other tasks. I realise houses are very busy places at the moment and not all the tasks will be completed so whatever is achieved will be a bonus and benefit to your child.
Keep safe and hopefully we will all be back to normality in the near future.
Kind regards
Ms. MonaghanP.E

Greetings Fifth Class,
Another week is over, but the good news is, it’s almost Easter, which means lots of CHOCOLATE! We’ve kept busy this week cutting egg shapes out of cereal boxes and making our own Easter egg designs to stick up on the window. It takes ages but it is lots of fun. I’ve also been practicing my sketching and hope to be a better artist when we go back to school. I hope you’re managing to get as much of this lovely sunshine as possible. The following is some more work to keep you busy. As before, just try your best. I wish you and all your family a very happy, safe Easter, filled with many blessings.
Take care,
Miss MonaghanMonday

Greetings Fifth Class,
Hope you had a lovely Easter and are set to do another little bit of work. I was so thrilled to hear all the great things going on in your home from gardening, cooking, baking, ‘COUNTDOWN’, projects, inventions, lots of reading and an amazing letters to the Health Minister. You’re doing a super job to keep yourself busy. I kept myself busy making cards for birthdays coming up. I had a few glue disasters but they turned out well. As for my sketching I still need lots of practice. The RTE Home School Hub from 11am until 12 and Countdown Numbers Game www.happysoft.org.uk are things you could check out this week. As before, just try your best with the work and I’ll be in touch next week.

Greetings Fifth Class,
So this week I decided to look up National Days and see what fun days there were in April. Did you know Picnic Day, Superhero Day, International Poetry Day and Tell a Story Day were all celebrated last week? These National days gave me some ideas for work this week. I’ve also set up an email address so feel free to email any work you would like me to look at. It’s fifthclassteacherstkevins@gmail.com. Have a great week and keep up the super work.
