An Amazing Author Visits St. Kevin’s!
Posted on 14th October 2014‘Alone every day in a pool near the rocks, Hermione Anemone sat knitting some socks. Till one day, which started just like any other, A peculiar thing happened: the pool gave a shudder!’
Life is quiet and lonely in Hermione Anemone’s rock pool until a huge storm washes in some very colourful and lively creatures. Soon Hermione is making friends with the likes of Tony Abalone, Úna the Tuna and Sean the Prawn, who all decide that her little pool is the perfect place to play! The author of this wonderful story is Ciara Molloy Tan, who is, very fortunately for the scholars of St. Kevin’s, an aunt of one of our Junior Infants. And we must thank our new Junior Infant immensely, as he convinced his aunt to join him in school and read her fantastic book with all our young pupils. It was a really great day; a great story, read by a great writer, to great listeners, who then had great questions! Our sincerest thanks again to Ciara Molloy Tan for sharing her wonderful story with the scholars of St. Kevin’s!
