Important News. Easter and Continued Closure
Posted on 3rd April 2020Dear Parents and Guardians,
Just a short note with respect to the ongoing school closure.
Class Activities
Again, from Monday, 6th April, school work and activities, specific to each class, will be located in Classes 2019/2020. If you click on this link and then select the appropriate class from the drop down menu, activities and tasks, assigned by the class teacher, can be found here.
Please remember, these are only suggestions. We do not expect a day at home to run like a day at school. We know it is counterproductive to burden children with too much work to be completed. The class activities given is a suggested menu, not a prescription. We also appreciate, that for many families, where someone may be ill or have responsibilities of care, or where a parent or guardian may have lost their job, school will be temporarily down the list of priorities. Finally, we appreciate all families have differing levels of access to IT devices, broadband, support and space to work. It is simply there to offer structured learning opportunities (particularly over Easter), if that can be of help to you, to support rather than burden you.
School Meals
Glanmore Foods will continue to provide food parcels to families in our school community throughout the two weeks of the Easter break. Should you wish to avail of these resources, please contact me, in full confidence, at kevinssallynoggin@gmail.com arrangements for delivery can be put in place. My thanks for your understanding.
Supporting You
If there is some way in which we might be able to help you further, please do not hesitate to contact us at kevinssallynoggin@gmail.com and we will do our best to assist, support and encourage you and the young children and pupils in your care. The Easter Holidays 2020 place us in different circumstances and the last three weeks have been challenging. We may have more challenging times ahead. Please take some time to rest, to brace ourselves, to enjoy precious time with our loved ones and if we can be of support, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Many thanks,
Barry
